Lady Gaga to enter Joker-Folie à Deux. The first look of her character is out.

Joker: Folie à Deux is about to hit the screens soon but what surprises the fans is that Lady Gaga will be part of this amazing movie and the first look is out.

Lady Gaga gets her close-up in Joker: Folie à deux, with filmmaker Todd Phillips taking a first look at her character on Instagram, and yes, it was for Valentine’s Day.

From the first look, Gaga is believed to be playing the infamous Harley Quinn in the sequel to Joker, which was the highest grosser in 2019 and earned star Joaquin Phoenix a Best Actor Oscar. Phillips returns to direct the film he wrote with Scott Silver. Throughout the previous Joker, Phillips shared looks of Phoenix, a tradition he kept up when he announced on Instagram that filming had started with a photo of his leading lady.

Joker: Folie à Deux

The movie is currently filming in New York and Los Angeles and is set to be released by (Warner Bros.) October 4, 2024. Gaga previously also worked with Phillips in A Star Is Born.

The First Joker was a surprise hit and an R-rated film. It followed Arthur Fleck, an aspiring stand-up and clown whose mental health issues cause him to spiral down after suffering rejection after rejection. Ultimately, he attracts the Joker personality and becomes a folk hero. The sequel’s title, Folie à Deux, refers to a medical term for an identical or similar mental disorder affecting two or more people, usually members of a close family.

The sequel to The Joker comes in the midst of a transition for DC, with newly installed DC Studios heads James Gunn and Peter Safran developing a range of film, television, animation, and video game projects that take place in a shared universe become. Accepting rare projects like Joker or the sequel to Matt Reeves’ The Batman will be branded as DC Elseworlds titles, a term borrowed from comics that tell stories from alternate universes.
