After screengrabs of her notorious Pepsi ad resurfaced, Kendall Jenner posted a long message backing the Black Lives Matter movement on Instagram.
The model posted a range of protest- and racial injustice-related images to her Instagram on Tuesday, and told her followers in the caption, “I’ve been doing a lot of thinking these past few days and my heart has been so heavy.”
“I will never personally understand the fear and pain that the black community go through on a daily basis, but I know that nobody should have to live in constant fear,” she continued. “I acknowledge my white privilege and promise I will continue to educate myself on how I can help.”
Jenner further called for “real action” beside posting on social media, and motivated her supporters to vote for “the right people in office.”
“The one truth that will always ring loudest is that BLACK LIVES MATTER,” she concluded. “Rest peacefully George Floyd and all victims of this horrible injustice.”
