BTS Jungkook Says He Used To Torture Himself For Making Mistakes, Also Revealed Pressure Of Solo Performanes

Jungkook feels more pressure than the times when performed as a BTS member. He feels that he has accepted the changes, as his personality has also evolved.

Jungkook, whose real name is Jeon Jung-kook, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and dancer. Over the years, BTS and Jungkook have achieved immense success both in South Korea and internationally, breaking numerous records and receiving numerous awards for their music and performances. However, it is worth noting that BTS members have occasionally had opportunities to showcase their individual talents during BTS concerts and events. Each member has performed solo songs or covers as part of these concerts, giving them a chance to shine individually while still being part of the group’s overall performance.

However, solo performances put pressure on the singers. Recently, in an interview, Jungkook opened up about the pressure of performing as a solo artist compared to when he is with the group. He also talked about the time when he thought about why his fans loved him so much. With this, he described himself as a person with low self-esteem.

Jungkook was asked how he feels when he performs alone instead of with BTS. He replied that he feels more pressure than the times when performed as a BTS member. He feels that he has accepted the changes, as his personality has also evolved.

Junkook further asked if he has a better understanding of why his ARMY aka fans love and support him. He answered that he also thought about why people loved him. He said, “When I look at myself, I honestly can’t tell. I’m not someone with very high self-esteem. Why am I so popular? Is it just because they like my voice? Or maybe the way I dance? I still can’t figure it out—about why I’m loved by all these people. But, you know, ARMY appreciates me. I might not know why all those people love me but I always remember they appreciate me. So I started to think, What’s the point of all those people appreciating and supporting me if I don’t have confidence? I think that’s why I’ve been changing a bit. Even though I’m still not quite sure.”

Talking about his past, the Golden Maknae revealed he was never content with his work, and there were times he tortured himself for making mistakes.
