Actress Jada Pinkett had been making shocking revelations about her personal life ahead of the release of her forthcoming memoir, “Worthy”. The actress recently revealed that she and her husband and actor Will Smith have been living separately for the past 7 years. While now in a recent interview, the Pinkett revealed that comedian Chris Rock had tried to ask her out on a “date” amidst the ongoing rumors about her divorce with Will Smith.
In an interview with People, Jada Pinkett talked about the infamous slap controversy between her husband Will Smith and comedian Chris Rock who made joke on her expense. During the conversation Jada revealed that during the time when rumors about her divorce with Smith were circulating, comedian Chris Rock asked her out on a date at one point of time.
Jada said that there were reports circulating about her alleged “divorce” with Will Smith earlier during summer. And during that particular summer, comedian Chris Rock thought that the duo was getting divorced, so he called Pinkett and asked her to take her out.
Apparently, the actress stated that Chris Rock had been thinking that the two were getting divorced which is why he asked her out on a date. However, Jada revealed to Chris that she and Will weren’t getting divorce, and so later Chris apologized profusely for the same.
Jada Pinkett-Will Smith Separation
In recent interviews, actress Jada Pinkett revealed that it had already been 7 years since she and Chris Rock were “separated”. Jada confirmed to Today that she and Will Smith have been apart since 2016.
Talking about the decision of not taking a “divorce” Jada told Hoda Kotb in an interview, that she had made a promise that there will never be a reason for the two of them to get a divorce. She added that no matter what, she and Smith will work through whatever.
For the unversed, Jada Pinkett and Will Smith have been married since 1997. The couple shares three children including 25-year-old Jaden, 22-year-old Willow, 22-, and 3-year-old Trey.
