“It Still Hurts” Chris Rock Mocking The Infamous Will Smith Slap!

Chris Rock finally addressed the infamous Will Smith slap and takes a whole sarcastic dig about that incident.

The comedian addressed Will Smith’s infamous Oscar slap in his recent show. “Will Smith is exercising selective outrage,” Rock explained. “Outrage because everyone knows what the hell happened. Anyone who knows I had nothing to do with that shit. I had no entanglements.”

He continued: “His wife fucked his son’s friend. OK, I wouldn’t normally talk about this shit, but for some reason, they put this shit on the internet. I have no idea why two talented people would do something so low. What the hell? And we’ve all been fooled. Everyone here has been fooled. Neither of us was interviewed by the person who cheated on us on TV.”

Everyone now knows what happened, said Chris Rock, and they still ask him if it hurt: “Of course, it hurt. It still hurts,” he added, “but I’m not a victim baby. You’ll never see me cry for Oprah. That’ll never happen… I took that punch like Pacquiao,” he said, and the crowd cheered explained that this came about years ago when Jada Pinkett Smith told Rock to forego the Oscars after her husband wasn’t nominated for his role in Concussion. Towards the end of the special, Chris Rock changed his tune a bit, saying, “I’ve loved Will Smith, all my life. I loved Will Smith. I saw him open to Run-D.MC… He makes great films. I’ve supported Will Smith my entire life,” Rock said. “And now I watch Emancipation just to see him scream.”

Rock used the last minute of Selective Outrage to answer the question he’s been asked many times since the slap: Why didn’t you answer? “Because I have parents,” Rock said. “Because they raised me. And do you know what my parents taught me? Don’t fight in front of the whites.”

“Every commercial has an interracial couple,” adding that he recently saw a commercial in which a Japanese woman was married to a caterpillar. The comedian took the stage for Netlifx’s first global live broadcast event in Baltimore on Saturday, which was broadcast from the city’s Hippodrome Theater. The Daily Show’s Ronny Chieng hosted the special, which also starred Areseno Hall, Deon Cole, and Leslie Jones.

Chieng opened up Nightlife at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles and joked that the iconic comedy spot on the Sunset Strip will be full of Netflix’s biggest furry fluff.

Towards the end of his brief appearance at the Comedy Store, Hall said he hopes everyone enjoys the evening “because somewhere I know Will Smith won’t.” “Trust me. We won’t know but I bet Will Smith is missing a TV tonight,” he joked. “He’s gonna throw that son of a bitch off the wall.” (Hollywood Reporter)

Matthew McConaughey, Amy Schumer, Ali Wong, Jimmy Fallon, Kevin Hart, Adam Sandler, and many others wished him luck ahead of his live event.
