Here’s How Much Margot Robbie Will Take Home After The Massive Success Of ‘Barbie’

Even Though "Barbie" Was Shown In Theaters At The Same Time As Christopher Nolan's "Oppenheimer," It Made More Money Worldwide

Margot Robbie is having a great time because her movie “Barbie” is a big hit. It’s interesting that Margot and her husband Tom Ackerley are some of the people producing the movie.

According to Variety, Margot is set to make around $50 million from a deal that includes her pay and bonuses based on the movie’s box office success. The movie “Barbie” has earned more than $1 billion from cinemas around the world. In the United States, it earned $526.3 million, and internationally, it made $657.6 million. The money it makes will probably go up as more people watch it.

Even though “Barbie” was shown in theaters at the same time as Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer,” it made more money worldwide. The movie also broke a few records.

Greta Gerwig, the person who directed “Barbie,” is now the woman director with the most money earned from a live-action movie all around the world. “Barbie” is the second-highest-earning movie from Warner Bros, only behind “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2” from 2011.

Margot helped make the movie using her company, LuckyChap Entertainment, which she started with Tom, her friend Josey McNamara, and Sophia Kerr back in 2014. What’s interesting is that Margot wanted Gal Gadot to be the main actress in the movie. But the director, Gerwig, convinced Margot to play the part herself.

Margot told Vogue in May, “I never thought about playing Barbie until years after we started working on the project.”

Both “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” were released on July 21, 2023, in India and the United States. Fans started a trend called “Barbenheimer” where they talked about both movies together. This helped both movies become very successful.
