Daniel Craig Reportedly To Make MCU Debut As Thor’s Brother

Daniel Craig will reportedly star as the Asgardian warrior, who is the half-brother of Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth, Cate Blanchett's Hela, and Tom Hiddleston’s Loki.

Daniel Craig has created his identity as British MI 16 spy, James Bond, in Hollywood. He has starred in several hit films. However, new reports are swirling around claiming Daniel Craig will join Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to the latest report by Giant Freaking Robot, Daniel Craig will be making his MCU debut as Asgardian warrior, Balder the Brave.

Asgardian warrior is the half-brother of Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth, Cate Blanchett’s Hela, and Tom Hiddleston’s Loki. Rather than having a supporting role in other MCU movies and shows, Craig will be getting his own spin-off series. However, according to previous reports, Daniel Craig was reportedly supposed to make his MCU debut as Balder the Brave, in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

It was also reported that Balder the Brave would be a part of the Illuminati encountered by Doctor Strange aka Benedict Cumberbatch in a parallel reality, along with Professor Charles Xavier, played by Patrick Stewart, Black Bolt aka Anson Mount, Captain Marvel (Lashana Lynch), Captain Britain (Hayley Atwell), and the Fantastic Four’s Reed Richards (John Krasinski).

Recently, Daniel Craig received a prestigious honour that his iconic character James Bond aka 0007 got in the film. The James Bond actor was made a Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George. Craig received the honour from Princess Royal in the investiture at Windsor Castle in recognition of his outstanding contribution to film and theatre.

The Royal Family’s official Twitter account shared a photo of Daniel receiving his honour, alongside the famous Bond movie line, ‘We’ve been expecting you.’ For the unversed, Daniel starred in the most recent five Bond movies from 2006 before ending his reign in the 2021 movie No Time To Die. While in the film, his character 007 made a famous appearance alongside the Queen in a sketch to mark the opening of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
