Chris Pratt Reveals He Was Stung By A Bee In His Eye

Chris Pratt seemingly took inspiration a bit too far, which lead to a gruesome sting in his left eye.

Chris Pratt revealed that he was stung by a bee in the eye. The Guardian Of The Galaxy recently took to his social media and shared a brief video. Pratt explained how he’s been inspired by Texas Bee Works beekeeper Erika Thompson’s videos. The video begins with him donning black sunglasses later he explained how he’s been inspired by Thompson’s videos.

Apparently, the Guardians of the Galaxy star took that inspiration a bit too far, which lead to a gruesome sting in his left eye, which lead Thompson to leave a hilarious comment. In the video, the actor shared, “So I’ve been following this bee lady on Instagram. She’s so cool and brave and she goes in front of these hives of bees and says, ‘They’re very calm today.”

Pratt added, “I’m going to remove the bee. I’m going to use my bare hands to sift through the bees and look for the queen.” Guardian Of The Galaxy star added that her videos have, “built up this false sense of security in me, to whereas I said, ‘I think I can control bees too.'” He added, “So I saw a beehive two days ago and I went towards it and the man standing next to me said, ‘Hey careful there’s bees’ and I said, ‘These bees look very calm.'”

Pratt continued, ‘And I just stared at these bees and one of them come out and stung me in the eyeball,’ Pratt said, before removing his sunglasses and showing off his swollen left eye. ‘So, anyway, f**k that bee lady,’ Pratt said, concluding the video. However, alongside the video, the actor penned in the caption, “@texasbeeworks you inspire me! But for real tho…”

Thompson also replied with a humorous comment, referencing him voicing Mario in The Super Mario Bros. movie, arriving in theatres on April 7. ‘Wait—so now you’re going to be a plumber and a beekeeper @prattprattpratt?!’ Thompson began. ‘If you leave saving the bees to me and other professionals, you can focus on saving the Princess, Mario,’ she added in the comment, which got over 4,700 likes.

Pratt returned as Peter Quill in The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, which debuted on Disney Plus in November. He’ll also reprise that same role in the highly-anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which hits theatres May 5, 2023. The actor will also lend his voice to the beloved cartoon cat Garfield in a new animated movie, slated for release May 24, 2024.
