BLACKPINK’s Lisa To Make Acting Debut With THIS HBO Series

BLACKPINK idol Lalisa will make her acting debut with HBO series "The White Lotus Season 3", details regarding Lisa's character and the storyline are kept secret.

After much speculation about BLACKPINK’s Lisa Manobal making her acting debut, it has been officially confirmed that she will join the cast of HBO’s The White Lotus Season 3, as reported by Variety. The upcoming season, slated to begin filming in February, will take place in the stunning locations of Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok.

While specific details about Manobal’s character and the storyline are being kept “under wraps”, it is known that the narrative will introduce a new group of guests at another White Lotus property.

Interestingly, Lisa becomes the second BLACKPINK member to star in an HBO series, following Jennie Ruby Jane’s acting debut in the controversial drama The Idol, alongside Lily-Rose Depp, The Weeknd, Rachel Sennott, and others, which premiered in June 2023.

The White Lotus 3 Cast

Lisa is poised to join an already impressive ensemble cast, featuring Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Francesca Corney, Nicholas Duvernay, Arnas Fedaravičius, Christian Friedel, Scott Glenn, Walton Goggins, Dom Hetrakul, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs and others. With the addition of the K-pop artist, anticipation for the upcoming season has been further heightened.

Jennifer Coolidge, the show’s standout performer, will not return for Season 3 as her character bid farewell in the previous season. Discussing the upcoming season, Coolidge openly expressed in an interview with Today that she harbors feelings of jealousy towards the new cast.

Jennifer said, “I’m jealous of everyone that’s going. I just want to stress that I’m not a good sport about it, but there’s nothing I can do. When they kill you, you have to accept it. Because it means they’re not calling for your costume sizes or anything. It’s over. I have to get another thing. I have to make another thing happen, I guess. But am I sad? I just want to say in all honesty, I’m very sad I’m not in it. I think (Season 3) is going to be good. There’s going to be all sorts of good stuff in it, probably great sex stuff. It’s never, never a dull moment.”
