Warner Bros. has recently released the most anticipated trailer for Black Adam starring Dwayne Johnson in the lead who turned into a new superhero. DC Films’ upcoming comic book adaptation is about an enslaved man who is reborn with the magical powers of gods. The upcoming superhero movie is being produced under the banners of DC Entertainment, New Line Cinema, Warner Bros., Flynn Picture Company and Seven Bucks Productions.
The film is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and co-written by Adam Sztykiel, Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani. Black Adam will be the 11th in the DC Extended Universe. Black Adam Release Date
The upcoming superhero movie was initially planned to release in December 2021 but it could not happen due to the pandemic. In the meantime, a few more casts were added in the Black Adam and the script was written again. The shooting of this movie started in April 2021 and ended in August 2021 in Atlanta. After over a decade in development, Black Adam will be released in theatres on October 21, 2022.

Black Adam stars Dwayne Johnson as the powerful anti-hero and sworn nemesis of Shazam, who was played by Zachary Levi in a 2019 original movie and in the upcoming sequel, Shazam: Fury of the Gods, releasing next year. The movie will also introduce members of the ‘Justice Society of America,’ an iconic group similar to the ‘Justice League.’ The superhero cast includes Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo a.k.a Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell starred as Cyclone and Pierce Brosnan who will play Doctor Fate. The cast also includes Marwan Kenzari, James Cusati-Moyer, Bodhi Sabongui, Mo Amer and Uli Latukefu, moreover, the villainous group Intergang will appear in the film.
Black Adam Plot
Most of the plot of the upcoming movie is still kept under wraps. But what we can observe from the recently released trailer is that Black Adam takes place nearly 5,000 years after he was killed but swiftly revived by his son, who died not long after performing the rebirth ritual. His son’s sacrifice spurs Black Adam on to mete out his own brand of justice in the modern world.
Meanwhile, the Black Adam plot synopsis by IMDb reads, “Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the Egyptian gods-and imprisoned just as quickly-Black Adam, played by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.”
