Singing superstar Beyonce looked stunning on a date night with Jay-Z at London Film Festival. The glamorous couple put on all their finery for the premiere of Netflix’s The Harder They Fall.
The Bonnie and Clyde stars looked lovely as they posed for a picture in the back of their chauffeur-driven car with Beyonce stunning in a strapless black dress. The star cuddled up to her husband, who himself looked dashing in a black tux and bow tie. The jet-setting was in town for the premiere of Idris Elba’s new film The Harder They Fall described as a ‘crowd-pleasing western’, which was produced by Jay-Z, Idris, and Regina King.
Beyonce took Instagram to share a series of snaps including one of her on a golden staircase looking every inch the movie star sporting a pair of shades with her blonde locks styled to perfection. Also, beyonce captioned one of her pics, “Thank God I didn’t go to sleep,” adding a laughing emoji.
The singer, with chart-topping albums, iconic singles, and several awards, has certainly made her mark on the world but it hasn’t always been plain sailing for beyonce and Jay Z. Beyonce and husband 51-year-old self-made billionaire businessman Shawn Carter popularly called rap icon Jay-Z is one of the world’s most iconic couples.
However, the couple first started dating in 2002 when they collaborated on Jay’s single 03 Bonnie and Clyde, before cementing their romance in Bey’s track, Crazy In Love. The couple tied-the-knot in 2008, but while the duo are regarded as being one of the most rock solid couples in the celeb world, their romance has been sullied with rumours of Jay having an affair.
The popular track Lemonade by beyonce told the story of a woman realizing her significant other was having a torrid affair before booting him out, getting revenge, and ultimately learning how to forgive. It is also speculated that the infamous ‘elevator incident’ which saw Beyonce casually standing back while her younger sister, Solange, lashed out at Jay in a lift in 2014 was also related to his infidelity.
The rapper made a series of apologies on his album but came clean during an interview with The New York Times. Jay-Z said, “You have to survive. So you go into survival mode, and when you go into survival mode, what happens? You shut down all emotions.” He admitted the affair and said, “So even with women, you gonna shut down emotionally, so you can’t connect. In my case, like, it’s deep. And then all the things happen from there: infidelity.”
