Avatar: The Way Of The Water New Trailer Unveiled, James Cordon’s Film To Release On THIS Date

Avatar: The Way Of Water is set to hit theatres on December 16.

James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way Of Water has recently been released. Fans see the return of Na’vi people on the planet Pandora in the long-awaited sequel almost 13 years after the original epic was released. The trailer bigins with reintroducing Jake and Neytiri Sully and their children, as the story picks up more than a decade after the events of the first film.

Fans get a glimpse at below the waves of the ocean and shown a number of fantastic creatures including colourful jellyfish, whales and large winged fish. The Na’vi people native to Pandora are also seen going back into battle with what appear to be humans using advanced technology and weaponized ‘mech suits’. The sequel highlights the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure.

The upcoming sequel will follows Jake Sully and Ney’tiri who have formed a family and are doing everything to stay together. However, they must leave their home and explore the regions of Pandora. When an ancient threat resurfaces, Jake must fight a difficult war against the humans. The cast for the much-anticipated film includes Sam Worthington, who plays Jake, and Zoe Saldana, who takes on the role of Neytiri.

Avatar sequel will also see the return of Sigourney Weaver as Dr Grace Augustine and Stephen Lang who plays Colonel Miles Quaritch. The original sci-fi epic from 2009 won three Oscars for its stunning visual effects, cinematography and art direction. The film was set in 2154 and saw humans inhabit avatars so they could gain access to the planet of Pandora.

According to actor Zoe, it took her just 20 minutes into watching the new film to leave her in tears. Director James also spoke out about the new film and subsequent follow up, and said: ‘We’re a hundred per cent complete on Avatar 2 and we’re sort of ninety-five per cent complete on Avatar 3.’ The original Avatar is the highest-grossing film of all time. Avatar: The Way Of Water is set to hit theatres on December 16.
