The second installment of the 2018 hit film A Quiet Place is finally slated to release in India. Viacom18 Studios on Friday said in a statement that Emily Blunt starrer A Quiet Place Part II will have a theatrical and IMAX release on October 8.
Directed by John Krasinski, A Quiet Place Part II is a continuation to its first part and will take the adventures of the Abbott family with the destructive, sound-attuned alien forces ahead.
The movie includes an ensemble cast including Cillian Murphy, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, and Djimon Hounsou. The Quiet Place sequel, the paramount pictures film was originally scheduled to release worldwide in May 2018 but it was delayed several times due to coronavirus pandemic. However, the Quiet Place Part II was released in the US in May this year. The sequel became the biggest grossing Hollywood movie of 2021 so far.
Krasinski has returned to direct the second installment from his own script, based on characters developed by Bryan Woods and Scott Beck. A Quiet Place Part II has been produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, and John Krasinski
A Quiet Place Part II starts almost immediately after the end of A Quiet Place and follows Evelyn Abbot (Blunt), her baby, and two older children Regan (Millicent Simmonds) and Marcus (Noah Jupe) as they try to survive in a world overrun by sound-sensitive creatures.
The official synopsis of the horror film reads, “Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.”
