When Kapoors Got Candid: Kareena Kapoor & Tusshar Kapoor Talk About Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai!

Throwback to the Times when Kareena & Tusshar shared some exciting experiences of working together in their romantic love-tale Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai.

Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai (2001) was Kareena Kapoor’s 2nd & Tusshar Kapoor’s 1st (debut) film in Bollywood. The romantic love-tale which was directed by the talented Satish Kaushik also starred Amrish Puri, Dalip Tahil, Rinke Khanna & Alok Nath in pivotal roles. Helmed by Vashu Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment which featured actors from the 2 starry Kapoor Families of B-town, Kareena & Tusshar, Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai was a stellar super-hit which was widely loved and appreciated by the audiences during the period.

In a Flashback Podcast with Lehren, Kareena Kapoor & Tusshar Kapoor got candid about their fabulous experience of working in a mega movie like Mujhe Kucch Kehna hai in the initial stage of their career.

Kareena Kapoor elaborated about the movie being a sweet love story with a unique touch if its own kind in which she plays the role of an N.R.I girl (Pooja Saxena) heading back to India for a research project where she meets the main lead of the movie (Tusshar Kapoor) and becomes friends with him. Bebo also compares her character of Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai with the role she portrayed in her Debut film, Refugee. Kareena said that in Refugee which was mainly shot in a desert, she played a very simple Pakistani girl while in Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai her character adds more spice, modernity & love on the celluloid plus the venture has been shot at a grand huge scale.

While the Film stood supremely special for the Golmaal actor being his debut, Tusshar Kapoor opened up by saying that, He plays his role in the capacity of a main protagonist, a simple guy (Karan Sharma) who in turn transforms into a silent lover facing some hard time expressing his feelings. During the chat, The actor also mentions about his co-star Kareena Kapoor & praises her for being professional and quite natural in front of the camera while performing. Tusshar also explains about an interesting event which took place during the Climax scene of the film…
