When Sunny Deol Referred To Actors Dancing At Weddings As ‘Mujrawallis’, Shah Rukh Khan Says, ‘I Love Participating In That’

Sunny's Statement Appeared To Indirectly Allude To Shah Rukh Khan, With Whom He Had A Well-Publicized Falling-Out During Their Collaboration On The Film Darr

Sunny Deol is gearing up for the much-anticipated release of his upcoming movie, “Gadar 2,” slated to hit theaters on August 11. As the excitement builds, an old interview featuring the actor has resurfaced, shedding light on his thoughts regarding actors performing dances at weddings.

In a past interview with Filmfare, Sunny Deol expressed his perspective, saying, “Only mujrawallis dance at weddings, not actors. I think actors should maintain their dignity. Dancing at a friend’s wedding is okay, but getting paid to dance is cheap. Next, you’ll ask me – isn’t prostitution better than borrowing money from the market? I don’t agree with this kind of logic.”

Sunny’s statement appeared to indirectly allude to Shah Rukh Khan, with whom he had a well-publicized falling-out during their collaboration on the film “Darr.” However, Shah Rukh Khan shared his own viewpoint. He stated in an exclusive interview with ‘Lehren’, “There is money attached to it, because I use that money to make my own films. I don’t have to borrow money to make films.” He further explained, “The happiest moment for anyone is marriage, and I love participating in that… Only the richest people in the world can afford me.”

As the release of “Gadar 2” draws near, anticipation is mounting for the sequel to the 2001 hit. The movie will carry forward the storyline of Tara Singh and Sakina. Notably, Sunny Deol’s “Gadar 2” is poised for a box office clash with Akshay Kumar’s “OMG 2.”

In the realm of Bollywood, these contrasting viewpoints on dancing at weddings have sparked debates among fans and industry insiders alike. While Sunny Deol maintains his stance on maintaining dignity, Shah Rukh Khan sees such performances as an opportunity to fund his creative ventures. With the clash of their respective movies on the horizon, the entertainment world eagerly awaits the outcome at the box office.
