The King Khan of B-town, Shah Rukh Khan also had to turn down film offers from the noted ace film maker David Dhawan back in the 90’s wherein David had originally approached Shah Rukh for Deewana Mastana where he was supposed to play character of Bunnu with Anil Kapoor on board as Raja and also according a report by a leading digital bollywood portal, not Govinda but Shah Rukh was David’s first choice for Deewana Mastana.

Initially Shah Rukh had loved the concept of the film and even agreed on doing it but then suddenly at the last minute he ended up leaving the film and backing out for reasons which are best known to him only and then David continued the film with Govinda.
Not only this, but once again David had even offered him another film a few years back wherein he had to romance 7 actresses in a comedy flick titled Kis Kisko Pyaar Karu but he eventually denied this film as well where a report stated about how the Raees (2016) fame global superstar and noted film maker didn’t really like each other’s working style.
Since this film never got made by Dhawan, the title was then taken by dynamic film maker duo Abbas Mustan who planned this sane film with well renowned comedian Kapil Sharma along with Manjari Fadnis, Simran Kaur Mundi, and Elli Avrram.
Currently on work front, Shah Rukh has an interesting lineup of films like Pathan, Rajkumar Hirani film and so on whereas David Dhawan was last seen directing Coolie No 1 with Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan.
