After Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan is once again getting criticized on social media for hurting religious sentiments. The actor featured with Kiara Advani in an ad that has ignited fire among people for allegedly mocking the Hindu religion. While people on social media denounced the ad, filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri slammed Aamir Khan and Kiara Advani.
The ad that is making headlines unfortunately for immoral aspects is for AU Small Finance Bank. It features Aamir Khan and Kiara Advani collaborating for the first time as newlyweds travelling back from their wedding in a car. They discuss neither of them cried during bidaai. As the ad proceeds, Aamir Khan enters Kiara’s house as opposed to the usual practice where the bride goes to groom’s house. Aamir Khan becomes ghar jamai so they can look after the latter’s ailing father.
In the next scene, Aamir says, “Why should traditions that have continued for centuries continue to do so? That’s why we question every banking tradition. So that you get the best service.”
This AU Small Finance Bank ad has upset a section of society and sparked controversy over the internet. Many have slammed the ad for mocking and hurting Hindu sentiments. Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri too is not happy with what has been showed in the ad. He tweeted, “I just fail to understand since when Banks have become responsible for changing social & religious traditions? I think @aubankindia should do activism by changing corrupt banking system. Aisi bakwaas karte hain fir kehte hain Hindus are trolling. Idiots.”

Aamir Khan’s last film Laal Singh Chaddha was a box-office failure. The remake of Forrest Gump could barely cross the 100 crore mark at the worldwide box office. Referring to his old comment regarding feeling unsafe in India Laal Singh Chaddha faced a boycott trend.
Meanwhile, Kiara Advani was basking in praise for Bhool Bhulaiya 2 success. She also enjoyed positive reviews for her last film Jug Jugg Jeeyo. Kiara is now shooting with Kartik Aaryan for Satya Prem Ki Katha.
