Vikram Vedha: Rohit Saraf Reveals Why Hrithik Roshan Delayed The Movie

Rohit Saraf who played Hrithik Roshan’s on screen younger brother in Vikram Vedha revealed the reason behind the film’s delay

The eagerly awaited film of Hrithik Roshan was finally released on 30th September. Days after the release we got to know the reason behind the delay. Rohit Saraf who played the younger brother of Hrithik Roshan in the movie revealed the reason why Vikram Vedha was postponed.

The entire filming schedule of the action thriller was delayed by Hrithik Roshan. His co-star and on-screen brother revealed the Kaho Na Pyaar Hai actor stalled the shoot. This was done because Rohit Saraf’s dates weren’t available as he was also busy shooting the Netflix series Mismatched season 2.

In a recent conversation with Puja Talwar, Rohit said, “I just hoped to not be in a situation where I would have to leave this film because my dates were not available. I would be so upset about it, that’s exactly what happened. Dates (for the Vikram Vedha and Mismatched shoot) were exactly the same.”

He further continued, “Hrithik sir called my Mismatched director Akarsh Khurana, and he said ‘I need him (Rohit Saraf) to come and do this part because I believe he is perfect for it’. That’s when Akarsh managed some days. But then, Hrithik sir understood we couldn’t cancel the entire schedule of Mismatched here. So, the entire schedule of Vikram Vedha got pushed by 5 days. They waited for me to come and be a part of it.”

The Sky Is Pink actor added, “When I heard Hrithik sir himself called my director to get my dates, that day I was like ‘even if this film doesn’t work out I’m ok with it because I know what this means to me. How big of a deal this is.”

Vikram Vedha is a Hindi remake of the Tamil movie of the same name. The original film featured R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupati in the lead role. The 2017 film was directed by duo Pushkar Gayathri who also directed the Hindi version. The lead cast, R Madhavan who played Vikram is replaced by Saif Ali Khan whereas Hrithik Roshan superseded Vijay Sethupathi as Vedha. Helmed by the duo Pushkar-Gayathri the action crime film is produced by Chakravarthy Ramachandra, Bhushan Kumar, S. Sashikanth, and Vivek Agrawal. The film opened in theaters on September 30, 2022.
