Ever since the Bhediya movie was announced people have been waiting to see Varun Dhawan in the Bhediya look. In the movie, the actor turns into a werewolf every night. Talking about the film the actor said this is the wildest character he has ever played. In 10 year long Bollywood journey, the Badlapur actor has played such a role for the first time.
Having done comedy films like Judwaa 2 and Coolie No. 1, Varun Dhawan has stepped into the horror-comedy genre. Bhediya is a part of Dinesh Vijan’s horror comedy cinematic universe. Varun was seen in a scary werewolf look in the poster and a glimpse of him was experienced in the trailer launch. Since then fans are more eagerly waiting for the film to release.
In a statement, Varun Dhawan said, “I agreed to do Bhediya after hearing just the one line idea. I’ve never wanted to let go of the film ever since, and was in constant touch with the producers. This is the wildest character I have played. While it may have been my first foray into the creature comedy genre, Amar had done Stree earlier and was very hands on with the whole process. My biggest dream as an actor is to entertain through a diverse array of roles. Bhediya is the most important addition to that endeavour.”
Bhediya also stars Kriti Sanon as a doctor of werewolves. The film marks Varun and Kriti’s reunion and second film together after Dilwale. This is the third installment of Dinesh Vijan’s cinematic universe. After Stree and Roohi Maddock Films are now all set for Bhediya. Helmed by Amar Kaushik the film is produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films banner. Bhediya will be howling in theaters on 25 November 2022.
