People are disgusted by a recent act of Varun Dhawan during a promotional shoot for his upcoming film Bawaal. Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor are extensively promoting Bawaal which will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on 21 July. A photoshoot was arranged by Amazon Prime where Varun and Janhvi posed for some stunning pictures. However, a glimpse went viral where Varun was seen biting Janhvi’s ear during the shoot. Netizens are clearly upset with Varun’s “antics” and have called it “creepy”. They also pointed out that Janhvi was uncomfortable when Varun bit her out of the blue.
A netizen wrote on Reddit, “The way he gets touchy with his female co-stars and gets away with all these antics is absolutely ridiculous.”
Someone called him out by saying, “He gives me chapri vibes!”
A user said, “I don’t know why people are saying he shouldn’t do all this because he is married. He just shouldn’t do all this even if he was single.”

This isn’t the first time that Varun has made his co-actress uncomfortable during the promotions. Last year, while promoting JugJugg Jeeyo, actress Kiara Advani was seen getting uncomfortable around Varun. A user recalled the same and said, “He’s going to be another Anil Kapoor, doing creepy stuffs with all the women about town n behave like he has no respect for his wife. I do understand promo photoshoots r supposed to be cheesy bt tf is this evn looks like janhvi isn’t enjoying much, I can never forget that vdo where he kissed Kiara out of nowhere n she was so shocked.”
A few months ago, Varun Dhawan was criticized for spinning Gigi Hadid on stage. At Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre opening in Mumbai, Varun Dhawan picked her up, spun her around and also gave her a kiss on the cheek. Gigi looked baffled and was seen trying to manage her designer saree mid-spin. Priyanka then held her hand and she quickly ran off the stage.
Varun married his longtime girlfriend Natasha Dalal in January 2021.
