Veteran actor Shabana Azmi met with a horrible accident on the Mumbai-Pune expressway last weekend, when her car smashed into a truck. After the accident, she was critically serious and taken to a hospital in Panvel right away; and later to Kokilaben Hospital.
Many celebs close to the family rushed to the hospital to meet the injured actor and fans have voiced their social media concerns. Finally, husband Javed took to social media to share an update on the health of his wife:
We are relieved to know that veteran actor Shabana Azmi is recovering well, and we hope that she will be able to get home soon enough. Meanwhile, her driver was allegedly arrested for unsafe driving and an FIR was filed against him as well.
She has suffered a head injury as per doctors and the backbone is slightly damaged.
