Since Janhvi Kapoor expressed her desire to act in south Indian movies, rumours of the actress being roped into Tamil or Telugu films have been making it to the headlines. There has been a strong buzz since past couple of months of her teaming up with acting heavy weights like Jr Ntr, Vijay Deverakonda and Ram Charan for her South Indian debut.
However, Janhvi’s father and filmmaker Boney Kapoor took to Twitter to finally put an end to all the rumours. Boney Kapoor tweeted, “Dear Media Friends, This is to bring to your notice that Janhvi Kapoor has not committed to any Tamil Films at the moment, requesting not to spread false rumours”.
According to some media reports, Janhvi was approached to play female lead opposite Karthi in the sequel of the blockbuster film Paiyaa. The film is being helmed by Linguswamy.
The 25- years old actress, who made her acting debut in 2018 with the Hindi film, Dhadak, was last seen in survival thriller Mili (2022). She will be next seen in Bawaal, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Mrs. And Mrs. Mahi.
