THIS Actress To play The Female Lead In Stree’s Prequel Munjha; Read To Find Out

Sharvari Wagh has come onboard as female lead for the fourth installment of Dinesh Vijan's horror-verse- Munjha.

Dinesh Vijan is slowly expanding his horror-comedy universe which began with the blockbuster Stree (2018). And as per latest reports, makers have begun the production of their next film Munjha, which is going to be the fourth installment of the same universe. And according to some media reports, Sharvari Wagh has come onboard as female lead for the fourth installment of this horror-verse. Munjha has officially begun production in Goa with Sharvari as a female lead, but there has been no official confirmation from makers about the same.

Munjha is based on folklore and will prepare the audience for the first legitimate crossover in Stree 2, which is scheduled to start production in the first part of this year. Apparently, Munjha which was announced in 2019 as the third film of Dinesh’s horror-comedy universe, was earlier offered to Dil Bechara (2021) fame Sanjana Sanghi, but for some unknown reason, she backed out from the project.

The film was put on hold after Covid-19 outbreak and gone through many changes in the script to better situate it in the intended universe of horror comedy. In fact, along with the female lead, makers have also gone through another big change for Munjha.

Shriram Raghvan’s assistant director Yogesh Chandekar was signed to direct the film but for reasons yet to be known, he stepped down from director’s chair and studio has appointed Marathi director Aditya Sarpotdar as the new captain of the ship.
