Following the sudden demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, there has been an uproar of his fans, family, and fellow actors to conduct a CBI probe in his case. At last yesterday, the Supreme Court gave a nod and ordered the Central Bureau of Investigation to take over the late actor’s case.
Sushant’s father K.K Singh had filed an FIR in Patna against one of the prime suspects in the case, Rhea Chakraborty, and five others for abetment to suicide and fraud. However, it led to a debate regarding the bias of the Mumbai Police and Bihar Police department. This urged the actor’s family for CBI’s investigation.
Now, as the case has been handed over the CBI, the officials will kick-start their investigation from his Bandra apartment where Sushant’s dead body was found on June 14, 2020. The Kai Po Che actor died of suicide but netizens began to speculate that it was a pre-planned murder.

To make sure that the investigation doesn’t face any further roadblocks, the CBI officials from Delhi will not be quarantined in Mumbai after their arrival as per the rules. As per the reports, the officials will be recreating the crime scene at Sushant’s apartment in Bandra. It will be done to eradicate any kind of foul play in the case which will eventually help the officials arrive at the conclusion of whether it was a suicide or a murder.
As per the orders from the top court, Mumbai Police will have to cooperate with the CBI officials in their probe. They are also asked to hand over the evidence collected with regards to Sushant’s case.
According to the reports, CBI has already gone through the statements of the witnesses and other pieces of the investigation before restructuring the case.
Sushant’s fans, family, and colleagues are elated by the decision of the CBI probe and hoping the actor gets justice.
