It was only recently that Ranveer Singh announced his next project Jayeshbhai Jordaar which is produced by Yash Raj Films. Earlier this year he stunned the audience with his rapping skills in Gully Boy and is now all set to play the role of a Gujarati businessman in his next. He took to his social media and also gave fans a first look at the movie and his look of Gujarati choro and fans are in love. But with all the buzz going around about the film, the first female lead opposite Ranveer in Jayeshbhai Jordaar was not made known.
There were a lot of speculations about who the female lead would be, but now an entertainment portal revealed that the makers will be roping in Arjun Reddy actress Shalini Pandey to play the lead in the movie. The source told the portal that YRF wanted to launch a fresh face opposite Ranveer, and after Shalini proved her mettle with her performance in Vijay Deverakonda starrer Arjun Reddy, she was the most promising face of the lot and producer Aditya Chopra was impressed with her screen tests. Further confirming the news YRF recently announced the big news on micro-blogging site and wrote, “#ShaliniPandey is @RanveerOfficial ‘s heroine in YRF’s #JayeshbhaiJordaar.”
Whereas Ranveer cannot stop gushing about the movie and even called it a miracle script. He in an interview said, “The sheer brilliance of the writing compelled me to immediately green-light this film.”
Ranveer is currently gearing up for the release of Kabir Khan’s ’83 which will chronicle the winning of the Indian cricket team at the 1983 World Cup. He movie will hit theatres by April 10, 2020. Apart from that Ranveer will also be seen making an appearance in Rohit Shetty directorial Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead.
