Sara Ali Khan REACTS To Her Film Being Compared With 2009 Love Aaj Kal

Imtiaz Ali directed Love Aaj Kal will release on 14th February.

Sara Ali Khan has now become the talk of the town owing to the release of his upcoming movie Love Aaj Kal along with Kartik Aaryan. Love Aaj Kal is the sequel of the 2009 movie with the same name and the audience can’t help but compare the two.

Recently, Sara expressed what she felt after signing the film, she said, “I said yes to the film without reading the script. I asked Imtiaz sir why we weren’t calling it Love Aaj Kal 2; he explained that the concept is relevant and timeless. The idea is that love means different things for different generations.”

Talking about the comparisons between 2020 Love Aaj Kal with 2009 Love Aaj Kal, the Simba actress said, I respect every opinion that comes my way. But I hope people don’t compare it with the 2009 film. We are in the movies and ready to take risks. I am not here to please the whole world. So, I go with what feels right to me.”

Sara also shared what drew her attention to signing the film. She said that it was Zoe [her character] that represents the financial and emotional independence of women. In the trailer, she walks up to her love interest and questions him why they aren’t sleeping together. Women should start talking about sex as it has become important because they are bringing the focus on their desires.

Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the film’s first song Shayad has pulled the strings of everyone’s heart and is trending across all music platforms. The audience is eager to witness Veer and Zoe’s chemistry on a bigger screen on 14th February 2020.
