David Dhawan’s Coolie No 1. remake featuring Sara Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan is the talk of the town as fans are excitedly waiting for the film to bit theatres. Both Sara and Varun will be seen reprising the role of Govinda and Karisma Kapoor respectively, while the filming of the same is currently on in Mumbai. This is the first time Varun and Sara will be seen on the silver screen together.
Sara in a recent interview with NDTV Good Times opened up about her experience of working with Varun and she just couldn’t stop praising her co-star. She also revealed that it was her dream of working with Varun and also revealed how Varun is a completely crazy person on the sets. She said, “It is a dream. Varun Dhawan is a crazy person and it is such a blast working with him. He is such a riot of energy.. And specially like in songs, one will see him rehearse, you’ll already be scared because it’s Varun Dhawan and then, you see him in a take and I’m like ‘Oh My God! How am I going to match that level of energy.?’ But whether it is David sir or Varun, I mean it’s so encouraging to work with them. It’s really been, touchwood, a blast.”
Sara who will be seen reprising Karisma role in Coolie No. 1 remake stated that she would want to do total justice to the role. The film also features Paresh Rawal, Rajat Rawail, Rajpal Yadav and Johnny Lever. The filming kick-started in Bangkok in the month of August, while even Sara’s birthday was celebrated on the sets of the film. Currently, the film is being shot in Mumbai and despite the fire that broke out on the sets, the filming is going on smoothly. Coolie No. 1 remake will hit theatres on May 1, 2020.
