Despite her immense stardom, she chose to step away from the limelight to focus on raising her children – Priya, Namrata, and Sanjay. Tragically, just before Sanjay Dutt’s debut film, “Rocky,” was set to release, Nargis passed away in 1981 due to pancreatic cancer, leaving behind a profound void in his life and causing the most significant shock he ever experienced.
