“Salaar” directed by Prashanth Neel is going to be a ‘Megahit’ as compared to Rajkumar Hirani’s “Dunki”. Dunki has been criticized by many and of course, for a particular group, Shah Rukh Khan’s, this movie is as good as his previous blockbuster. But Dunki received poor ratings from IMDb after its release compared to his previous box office smash “Jawan”. While in this battleground of Dunki Vs Salaar, Prabhas starrer Salaar still has not received any ratings from IMDb after completing 24 hours of its release.
IMDb, which is known to give its ratings on the basis of IMDb users’ votes, generally publishes ratings for any film within 5–6 hours of the release and a large chunk of the crowd follow those ratings to decide whether to watch a movie. But IMDb has not given ratings to Prashanth Neel’s Salaar. This is what happened with Dunki, but in the late evening, Dunki got ratings of 7.5 out of 10. Today, 23rd December, is the second day of Salaar’s release and no ratings from IMDb is sign of another dogfight.
This has not happened till date, when IMDb delayed publishing ratings of the film as it is considered at trustworthy platform providing correct data of movies. Salaar has received better reviews in comparison with Dunki and, regardless of that, this whole IMDb scenario is quite disappointing, which may work as negative PR for the movie.
Nothing like this happened during the theatrical clash of Ranbir starrer “Animal” and Vicky Kaushal’s “Sam Bahadur”. Well, no reason has been clarified by this authorized website this time.
