Dunki Ratings: Criticized As Disastrous By Critics, No IMDB Ratings For SRK’s Film

An exhilarating atmosphere has been seen among the SRK’s enormous fan club after the release of “Dunki”. Loads of people getting out of theaters are giving their reactions to the media, but many have already chosen to remain silent. Soon Twitter will become a battleground as King Khan’s supporters will defend “Dunki” against the reviews of Indian films’ genuine audience. But yet no ratings have been given by IMDB. 

IMDB, which considered representing fair user-based opinions, has not given any star to SRK’s Dunki. The movie, which had been in talks prior to a month of its release, is making headlines with its reviews, but IMDB hasn’t bothered to publish its rating. Usually the ratings come right after the first two shows of the movie. In the case of a very recent movie, “Animal”, the ratings were published after 5–6 hours of its release and the same in the case of “Sam Bahadur”. And the ratings for both the movies were getting higher at an surprising speed  The first show of the film was at 5:55, and it has been more than 6 hours, but nothing has shown on the IMDB’s website. 

On Reddit someone posted an article saying, “Salaar already at an 8.8 rating on IMDB, Dunki no ratings yet” and within a couple of minutes, the comment session filled. Suddenly, there started a comparison between Ranbir’s Animal and SRK’s Dunki. A user defended Dunki, saying, “You just have to give it time. Animal also started at very high, but now it’s at 7/10 which is pretty reasonable.” Later he also compared it with Vijay’s Leo. He further added, “Vijay’s Leo started off very high due to mass fan voting, but now it’s 7.3”. 

If we analyze the IMDB math, it’s calculated by votes it receives from the audience profile. And Dunki received only 785 votes. Now serious questions arise about whether people are avoiding voting for Dunki? Critics review have already come out and many have given different calculations for the movie. Many called it ‘Hirani’s worst creation’; some described it as ‘Slam Dunk’. But the basic audience always go behind IMDB ratings, which still aren’t there.
