Saif Ali Khan To Star In Hindi Adaption Of International Series ‘The Bridge’

The series will be jointly produced by Endemol Shine India and his own production house Black Knight Films.

Saif Ali Khan is set to be part of Hindi adaptation of the Danish/Swedish crime drama Bron/Broen (The Bridge). The series will be jointly produced by Endemol Shine India and his own production house Black Knight Films.

It will be eighth adaption of the series after UK/France, US/Mexico, Germany/Austria, Russia/Estonia, and Singapore/Malaysia. The show’s story revolves around joint investigation by the police forces of the two regions, after a dead body is found on the bridge connecting the two countries.

Saif, who is also producing the show, said in his statement, “As an actor and producer, this is the one-of-a-kind opportunity that one waits for. It is a story that has been adapted the world over and loved by audiences, irrespective of their geographies, so yes, my team and I at Black Knight Films – Kunjal Punamiya (CEO/co-producer) and Pavan Kriplani (Creative Producer/co- producer) are super excited to be associated with this project and getting it rolling.”

Rishi Negi, CEO of Endemol Shine India, is also quite confident about the show, “It is a global story that can be made distinctively local, using the basic premise of the series and we look forward to recreating the magic of this show to captivate the Indian audience.”

Saif was last seen in Vikram Vedha alongside Hrithik Roshan. Despite positive reviews, the film failed to show it’s magic on the box office. He will be next seen in India’s most expensive pan Indian historical epic Adipurush.
