Ranbir Kapoor And Amitabh Bachchan Becomes Target Of Boycott Brahmastra 

After Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan netizens targets Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra for boycott

The boycott trend has become a fashion in Bollywood are engrossed in the cancel culture of films. Earlier, Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha and Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan faced the wrath of the boycott on social media. Meanwhile, upcoming films by Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan titled Vikram Vedha and Pathaan respectively are facing the boycott trend. Now adding name to the list is Ranbir Kapoor starrer Brahmastra, hashtag boycott Brahmastra is trending on Twitter. 

Brahmastra is a big-budget larger-than-life fantasy adventure film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, and Nagarjuna. Directed by Ayan Mukerji the movie is set to release in theaters on September 9. Weeks before the release the lead cast Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan have become the target of trollers on Twitter.

Boycott of Brahmashtra is regarding PK and Amitabh’s show Kaun Banega Crorepati. Ranbir Kapoor had a short glimpse in Aamir Khan’s 2014 film PK. The pictures of the same are now going viral on Twitter, in which Ranbir Kapoor is seen putting stickers of God on his face, due to which people are accusing him of insulting Hinduism and demanding ‘Boycott Brahmastra’. Ranbir was also trolled for wearing shoes in the temple, this scene has been caught by people in the trailer of ‘Brahmastra’.

A Twitter user wrote: “Ranbir was equally involved in insulting Hindu Gods in PK. Amitabh questions Hindu ghoonghat in KBC but fails to speak on burkha and hijab. Boycott their movies. #BoycottBrahmastra”

Amitabh Bachchan is also being trolled on Twitter. People are indicating at one of the episodes of KBC where Big B questioned a Hindu woman about her veil. Now people are showing anger against him for not talking about the hijab of Muslim women. 

At the same time, a user also wrote “They think if they cast multiple Stars, we go and watch the movie #BoycottAliaBhatt #BoycottBollywood #boycottbrahmastra”

Brahmastra is just weeks away from its release and now it is to be seen what effect the Boycott Brahmastra trend will have on the film and how long will it last. What are your thoughts on the Boycott trend?
