Rakul Preet Singh Says ‘I Don’t Want To Be Repetitive’

Rakul Preet Singh whose latest film Thank God released on the occasion of Diwali doesn’t want to do repetitive roles

Rakul Preet Singh is bagging plenty of projects this year. In 2022 a handful of movies enjoyed success while many big-ticket outings featuring A-lister actors failed miserably. Rakul Preet whose latest film Thank God released on the occasion of Diwali doesn’t want to do repetitive roles.

The actress appeared in the past five releases this year and played different roles. Citing her filmography in 2022, the actress featured in Attack, Runway 34, Cuttputlli, Doctor G, and the latest Thank God. Preet feels her dream of different roles is coming true.

In a recent interview, Rakul said, “I don’t want to be repetitive. Runway 34 is nothing like Doctor G, and Thank God is nothing like my last film. I want to do everything — from masala to hard-hitting movies.”

Also, the actress holds a conscious decision in choosing her roles where the woman exercises complete agency. She added, “Being an Army kid, I have grown up with a voice. I operate like that in my personal space. I can’t be stopped from expressing my opinion. It reflects in the scripts I choose. I don’t want to do roles that have two scenes and one song. Thankfully, our generation of actors is working at a time when better parts are written [for women]. Films connect with the masses, and have potential to effect change. Thank God talks about the seven sins; it is about introspection and becoming a better person.”

On the work front, Rakul Preet Singh’s Doctor G also starring Ayushmann Khurrana released in theaters on 14th October. While her next release in the same month was Thank God which was released today on 25th October. She reunited with her Ayiyari co-star Sidharth Malhotra and Runway 34 co-star Ajay Devgn for this comedy drama.

Rakul has a great slate of upcoming projects including Chhatriwali and Meri Patni Ka Remake. Meanwhile, Rakul Preet is not only stuck to Bollywood movies but also exploring her talent in the South as well. She also has Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 with other projects in the pipeline.
