Radhika Apte last appeared on the big screen in Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan starrer Vikram Vedha. She played the role of advocate Priya in the action film. Vikram Vedha is a Hindi remake of the Tamil language film of the same name. The story revolves around a chase between a powerful goon and an equally powerful cop.
In an interview with Prabhat Khabar, Apte revealed she wished for a big role in the film. She also opened up on why she said yes despite knowing a small part in the movie. The actress said, “I did the film as I wanted to work with the directors Pushkar and Gayatri. By the way, the overall experience matters more to me. I have rejected many films that had my role at the centre but I did not like the script. Yes, but I did wish that I had a bigger role in that (Vikram Vedha) film.”
Vikram Vedha a Hindi remake of the Tamil movie of the same name released in theaters on September 30th, 2022. The original film featured R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupati in the lead role. The 2017 film was directed by duo Pushkar Gayathri who again directed the Hindi version.
The lead cast, R Madhavan who played Vikram was replaced by Saif Ali Khan whereas Hrithik Roshan superseded Vijay Sethupathi as Vedha. Helmed by the duo Pushkar-Gayathri the action crime film is produced by Chakravarthy Ramachandra, Bhushan Kumar, S. Sashikanth, and Vivek Agrawal.
On the work front, Radhika Apte is gearing up for the Netflix film Monica O My Darling. The upcoming film also stars Rajkumar Rao and Huma Qureshi alongside Apte. Monica O My Darling will release digitally on November 11.
