Pankaj Tripathi Says Ranveer Singh Loves Him A lot; Calls It ‘Bahut Shaandaar’

In a recent interview, the actor shared his experience sharing screen with Ranveer Singh in their upcoming movie ‘83’

Pankaj Tripathi’s days of struggle are gone. He’s a household name now and people recognize him today as one of the most versatile and talented actors that Bollywood has. Be it his iconic performance as ‘Kaleen Bhaiya’ in “Mirzapur” or his heart winning charm as Bhanu Pratap in “Mimi”, one can simply not believe it’s the same person who has portrayed these two ‘poles apart’ roles but Mr. Tripathi has nailed these in the most effortless ways, credits to his top-notch acting skills.

While getting one on one about his recent work, “83”, Pankaj reveals how he was one of the senior-most actors on the sets. He expressed how grateful he was to receive all the love and respect from all the actors of the film, most importantly, Ranveer Singh. During his entire duration of shooting for the film, Pankaj reveals how he was always referred to as ‘Sir’ by Ranveer, an act of kindness that won his heart.

“When we wrapped the Dharamshala schedule of the film, Ranveer (Singh) told me that the entire team is privileged to have worked with me and share the screen with me,” said the actor. He defined his time with Singh during the film as “bahut shaandaar” and said the actor “loves me a lot” he said with a big smile on his face.

He further shared about his character in the film, “I am playing the character of PR Man Singh Ji. People know the players but not him. There’s not much information available about him, but his hard work helped India to win the World Cup” he said. Pankaj revealed how he did not waste any time when he was presented with the offer and instantaneously agreed to the film, thanks to the film’s great script, which made it a no-brainer for him.

Well not just Ranveer, he mentioned having a great time with the rest of the crew as well.

“Every day after the practice match, we used to go back to our hotels, and both Hardy Sandhu and Amy Virk used to sing and we used to dance and enjoy,” he said.

Pankaj Tripathi can be next seen in his upcoming projects “Lal Singh Chadha” “Bachchan Pandey” and “OMG 2” and even his lead role in “Sherdil”. With its worldwide release, sports drama “83” will be out on 24th December 2021.
