Massive action entertainer Jawan was announced earlier in June. The movie Jawan helmed by director Atlee Kumar will star Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role and Nayanthara opposite the megastar. Produced under the banners of Red Chillies Entertainment the movie created an uproar amongst fans when the teaser was unveiled. Netizens also trolled the first look of Shah Rukh comparing it to that of Hollywood’s Darkman.
Nayanthara recently tied a knot to Vignesh Shivan earlier this month on 9th June in Mahabalipuram. She has returned to her work commitments after coming back from her honeymoon. Nayanthara has joined the new schedule of Jawan that is expected till mid-July.
The south actress is the only lady to be featured in the Forbes India ‘Celebrity 100’ 2018 list. She has predominantly appeared in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam movies such as Chandramukhi, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, Viswasam, Annaatthe, and more. The 37-year-old also featured in the 2020 film Darbaar starring Rajinikanth and Suniel Shetty. Cementing a remarkable name in the south film industry Nayanthara is set to make her debut in Bollywood. She is stepping into Hindi Cinema opposite superstar Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan.
The Tamil Actress had taken a break for her marriage and she has now returned to work. She will be seen shooting soon for the highly anticipated movie Jawan which is said to have a cameo of Deepika Padukone.
Shah Rukh Khan recently held a live interaction on Instagram where he addressed about upcoming film Jawan. He said: “Too early to say. There is still a long way to go. There is not much I can tell you about Jawan except the fact that I am having a great time as an actor. And Atlee, the director, it is a different kind of film. Everybody has seen his work. He makes outstanding mass-oriented films, again a genre I have never done. So, I wanted to try my hands on it. And I think me and Atlee have good chemistry. I bring in some (to the film), and he brings in some. Whatever we have done of Jawan is thrilling and exciting.”
Jawan is slated to release on 2nd June 2023 in multiple languages. This marks Shah Rukh Khan’s first Pan-India film. The movie is produced by Gauri Khan and presented by the actor’s home company Red Chillies Entertainment.
