MaidaanBoxOffice: Amit Sharma’s much-anticipated Bollywood biographical sports drama “Maidaan” made its debut in theaters on April 11. Starring Ajay Devgn, the film received acclaim and positive feedback from both viewers and critics. However, despite the favorable reception, it failed to meet the lofty expectations and did not secure a remarkable opening at the box office. Following a lukewarm start, the film experienced a substantial decline in box office earnings on Friday.

Maidaan Box Office Collection Day 2
Despite the prime Eid holiday release and positive reviews, the box office performance of Ajay Devgn starrer “Maidaan” on its first day fell short of fans’ expectations. Despite releasing on Eid, the film secured a box office opening worth Rs 7.10 crore. The sports drama witnessed a huge drop on Friday.
As per Sacnilk, seeing a huge drop the film earned approx. ₹ 2.75 Cr on its second day at the box office. Starring Ajay Devgn, the biographical sports-drama, Maidaan now stands at a domestic total of approx. ₹ 9.85 Cr.
Maidaan can see further growth during the upcoming weekend (Saturday-Sunday), if all goes well, the sports-drama can hopefully cross the 15-20Cr mark by the end of the weekend. Maidaan has been facing a tough competition at the box office with Akshay Kumar starrer “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan”.

The film’s narrative takes inspiration from Syed Abdul Rahim, the renowned coach and manager of the Indian national football team, celebrated as the driving force behind Indian football’s golden era between 1952 and 1962. Ajay Devgn portrays the character based on Rahim on screen, depicting the coach’s relentless dedication as he strives to excel.
Helmed by Amit Sharma, Maidaan is a biographical sports drama film starring Ajay Devgn in the lead role alongside “The Family Man” fame actress Priyamani as the female lead. Apart from them the film also stars Gajraj Rao, Nitanshi Goel, Chaitanya Sharma, Tejas Ravishankar, Abhilash Thapliyal, Davinder Gill, and Amartya Ray in significant roles.
