Liger is one of the most anticipated films of this year. It will mark the Hindi debut of Telugu superstar Vijay Deverakonda while Bollywood diva Ananya Panday will kickstart her Telugu cinema journey. Liger has been shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu languages. It is written, directed and produced by Puri Jagannadh while Karan Johar is jointly producing this film.
Liger Movie Release Date:
Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday starrer film was announced in 2019. But due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it suffered long production delays. However, the film is now ready for release. It is scheduled for theatrical release on 25 August 2022.

The upcoming sports drama film will feature Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday in the lead roles. Popular actors Ronit Roy and Ramya Krishnan also play pivotal roles in the film. Additionally, American boxer Mike Tyson plays an extended cameo, thus making his acting debut in Indian cinema.

- Ananya Panday was not the first choice for this film. ‘Liger’ was first offered to Janhvi Kapoor but she refused the offer due to date issues.
- This film has a cameo of American boxer Mike Tyson. It will mark his acting debut in Indian cinema. In November 2021, the cast and crew went to Las Vegas to shoot the portions with Mike Tyson.
- The film’s initial release date was 9 September 2021 but it got delayed due to Covid-19 pandemic.
- The film has been shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu and it is dubbed in Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
