Vijay Deverakonda’s Film Liger Is Off To A Good Start
Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday starrer sports film Liger is out in the theatres now, while the film is already off to a good start at the box office, apparently, Karan Johar’s film Liger has already collected above $200K from the premiere shows across the American theatres, here’s how much the film has earned internationally after its premiere.
On Wednesday the makers of the film were seen sharing the international box office figures of the film on its official Twitter handle, sharing the poster of the film with the USA box office collection the makers wrote, “#LigerHuntBegins. The Rage of #Liger begins in USA Opened at $200K+ gross and counting.”
While on the other hand, the Puri Jagannath directorial film has already grossed nearly Rs 1.70 crore in Telugu through the advance booking for the first day. Sharing the advance bookings figures, the Andhra Box office tweeted, “Early Advance Trends indicate a Solid Start for Telugu. Hyderabad is going almost like a Top Tier Biggie. Hindi as has been the norm these days isn’t much of an advance booking market for most films and this isn’t any exception. ₹2-4 Cr Day1 Nett expected,”
While as per the early predictions of Sacnilk it is believed that the film will open to a good start, “Liger will take an excellent opening in Telugu states and is expected to break the record for tier 2 actors by a good margin. But there will also be an eye on how it will perform in the Hindi belt as it is an original bilingual movie.”
Liger marks Vijay Deverakonda’s Bollywood debut and Ananya Panday’s first multilingual film. It has created a lot of buzz and is the only hope of exhibitors after LSC and Raksha Bandhan’s dry run. The film arrived in the theatres on 25th August 2022.
