After Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha and Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan failed at the box office everyone is expecting Liger to be a hit. Liger is Puri Jagannadh’s directorial starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday. Amidst the boycott Liger trend, advance booking of the film is in full swing. Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Puri Connects that movie is made at a whopping budget of Rs 125 crore. Liger will have limited night shows in Hindi on 25th August but regular shows from August 26. While in the south region the film will have normal shows from 25th. The film will be released in four languages including Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
The advance booking of Liger opened on Saturday and it is doing well so far. In the Telugu region, the film earned 7.52 Crore and 3.5 Crore only in Hyderabad city by Wednesday morning. In Bangalore or in the Kannada language 259 shows will be screened and so far 43 Lakhs have been earned. In the Hindi belt, the advance booking is a little weak comparatively. Liger earned 26 lakhs only at the Hindi box office until Wednesday morning.
Liger box office prediction seems to be good seeing the current situation of the industry. The sports drama has the potential to take an exemplary opening with movie releasing on 2500 plus screens. All India opening should range 18-20 cr while 35-40 Crore gross worldwide. 2-4 crore is expected at the Hindi belt on day 1 as per the current scenario, and in Telugu, around 12 Crore gross is anticipated.
Liger marks Vijay Deverakonda’s Bollywood debut and Ananya Panday’s first multilingual film. It has created a lot of buzz and is the only hope of exhibitors after LSC and Raksha Bandhan’s dry run. The film is arriving in cinemas on 25th August 2022.
