After Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh the second guests to grace the 8th season of the chat show, Koffee With Karan are the Bollywood sibling duo, Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol. After appearing on the show back in 2005 the two brothers will now be the next guests to appear on Karan Johar’s chat show and have some fun banter and gossip with the filmmaker.
In the recently released promo of the second episode of Koffee With Karan 8, filmmaker Karan Johar introduces Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol as his “unapologetic and unassuming” guests. After welcoming the brothers, Karan starts their conversation by picking up Gadar 2 box office success.
Talking about Gadar 2 box office success Karan says to Sunny Deol, “I was watching your interview where you said ‘Ours is an organic collection’, what does that mean are we inflating box office numbers?” To this Sunny Deol says, “I know that does happen, that’s the way society is moving right now.”.
Later Bobby Deol recalls an incident with Salman Khan and says “One day Salman told me, jab mera career theek nahi chal raha tha, tab tere Bhai ke peeth pe chadh gaya tha aur aage badha. Toh maine usko bola, toh mujhe apni peeth pe chadhne de an.”
Bobby Deol then talks about his father Dharmendra’s kiss scene in Karan Johar’s film “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani”, he says, “Your film Rocky Aur Rani, I loved the film. Humlog mazaak karte rehte hai ki Pappa kiss wiss bhi kar rahe the lekin sab log bolte hai he is so cute.”
Karan then asks the two brothers about what was their first reaction and how they felt about the kissing scene, to this Sunny Deol says, “Dad can do whatever he likes and he can get away with it.”
For the unversed, Koffee With Karan season 8 will stream exclusively on Disney+Hotstar from October 26.
