In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Karan Johar confirmed that actor Shah Rukh Khan will not be featured in the 8th season of his chat show, Koffee With Karan. He said, “Shah Rukh is there, but I don’t think he wants to be in the forefront. He deserves his silence. As fans and filmmakers, we should give him that”.
For the unversed, Shah Rukh Khan’s wife Gauri Khan was seen in the 7th season of the show Koffee With Karan in 2022. However, reportedly Shah Rukh Khan, on the other hand, has been avoiding any chat shows, or media interactions after his son Aryan Khan’s drug case in 2021.
Shah Rukh Khan had previously appeared on the chat show three times. He appeared in Season 1, along with Gauri in an episode that also featured then-couple Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan. He also went solo in season 3 and was accompanied by Alia Bhatt in season 5.
Meanwhile, the first episode of Koffee With Karan 8 featured Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. For the unversed, Koffee With Karan season 8 will stream exclusively on Disney+Hotstar from October 26.
