Varun Dhawan who is currently busy filming for his dad’s David Dhawan’s Coolie No. 1, with co-star Sara Ali Khan, will soon reunite with his Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania director Shashank Khaitan for an upcoming film, and no it’s not Rannbhoomi. It was reported by an entertainment portal that Bhumi Pednekar was selected to play the lead alongside Varun in this untitled film, but though she liked the script, she is yet to sign up for the role.
The upcoming Shashank Khaitan’s film is said to be an all-out commercial entertainer with Varun Dhawan paired opposite two actresses. Now that Bhumi is selected, Kabir Singh actress Kiara Advani is reported to have been roped in for the film. And after contemplating several options, both Shashank and Karan have decided on the trio. They are even said to have liked the script and were immediately on board. The project is yet under preparation and is said to be rolled put by the second half of 2020. This will be Varun’s second movie with Kiara and he also worked with her in Kalank. While Bhumi and Varun will be seen on the silver screen for the very first time.
On the work front, apart from Coolie No 1 with Sara Ali Khan, Varun will soon begin filming for Sriram Raghavan’s Ekkis, a biopic on martyr Arun Khetarpal. Whereas Bhumi Pednekar is currently gearing up for the release of Pati Patni Aur Woh, Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare and Bhoot. She will soon begin filming for Karan Johar’s Takht starting from February. And Kiara will next be seen in Good Newwz, Laxmmi Bomb, Shershaah and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
