Kartik Aaryan who has been riding high on success with his latest release blockbuster movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, has completed 11 years in Bollywood. Coming from a small town Gwalior the actor had a long journey in the industry. He has established himself as one of Bollywood’s top stars today. Creating his identity from his highly acclaimed debut film Pyaar Ka Puchnapa, Kartik went on to deliver, Aakash Vani, PKP 2, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Luka Chuppi, Pati Patni Aur Woh, and Dhamaka among others.
In the latest interview with HT Brunch magazine, he looked back on 11 years of journey in Bollywood. He said, “We are a family of movie buffs. With my parents and my sister, I would always watch new releases at theatres or movies on television. I was so much in love with that world that I desperately wanted to be a part of it. It started with the dream to become a hero.”
He went on to say, “By the time I was in class XI, I was already hooked to acting. I would take videos of movie scenes, write down the dialogues, and try to perform them in my own way. I would thus create my own acting workshops. This practice continued even when I started acting in movies.”
“My roots, my growing up in a town like Gwalior, is what makes me who I am. I will always be that person. Also, being from a small town not only makes me strive harder to reach the number one spot but also keeps me grounded. I can still go back and live that life,” he continued.
He added, “I take pride in the fact that I have done this on my own and with the help of people who put their trust in my capabilities without knowing me. They went for the craft instead of lineage.”
Kartik Aaryan treated Bollywood with a much-needed blockbuster at the box office post-pandemic. He has multiple upcoming projects in the kitty. Kartik has wrapped up the shooting of Shehzada with Kriti Sanon. He is hooting with Kiara Advani for Satyaprem Ki Katha. Apart from these he has Freddy, Captain India, and Kabir Khan’s untitled next in the pipeline.
