Post the blockbuster success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Kartik Aaryan is enjoying all the attention he is getting. His fans also referred him as King of Bollywood but the actor refused to take the title but rather suggested calling him Prince as there is only one King – Shah Rukh Khan. Kartik Aaryan is now making news around his upcoming film Freddy.
Since the release of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, the actor who replaced Akshay Kumar in the horror flick never fails to be in the headlines and limelight. He treated his fans with pictures from his Europe trip, and later shared his early struggle days when he visited award functions in auto. After receiving all the love needed the actor is in trouble for the release of the upcoming film Freddy.
While the actor has locked multiple projects with top filmmakers, one of his projects is in trouble. Despite the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, there is no buyer for Freddy that stars Kartik Aaryan and Alaya F. The movie will release on OTT, similar to his Netflix Film Dhamaka which was released in 2021. The shooting of the film was wrapped last year yet it is struggling for OTT release.
According to industry reports, Freddy has no buyers. Freddy is touted as a romantic thriller helmed by Shashank Ghosh – Veere Di Wedding fame. As lead actors, Jawaani Jaaneman fame Alaya F is roped opposite Kartik Aaryan.
According to a source of Bollywood Life, Freddy is supposed to release on the OTT platform instead of theaters just like his previous film Dhamaka which was bought by streaming giants Netflix. However, the makers are facing a hard time fetching a suitable buyer to unleash the film on popular OTT platforms.
Appropriate reason behind the situation is not revealed yet, but reports suggest it could be subject and price demanded by the makers. It is also alleged that the film may make its way to theaters if the situation remains same. However, the makers are yet to comment on this.
Meanwhile, Kartik is busy shooting Rohit Dhawan’s Shehzada with Param Sundari Kriti Sanon. He also has Captain India and Sajid Nadiadwala’s untitled film in his kitty.
