Kareena Kapoor Khan Shares Insights into Family Life: ‘My Boys’ Nannies Are Eating with Them; They Have to Get the Respect That Saif And I Have’

Kareena Disclosed That Taimur, The Elder Of Her Two Sons, Had Initiated The Discussion By Questioning Why The Nannies Sat At A Separate Table During Meals

Bollywood superstar Kareena Kapoor Khan has recently shed light on her family’s unique household rule, revealing that her sons, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan, share meals with their nannies at the same table. In a candid interview with IndianExpress, Kareena opened up about her family’s inclusive approach to childcare.

During the interview, Kareena disclosed that Taimur, the elder of her two sons, had initiated the discussion by questioning why the nannies sat at a separate table during meals. She explained, “She sits with us. My boys’ nannies are eating with them because that’s just the way both Saif and I have addressed it because Taimur has asked and Jeh is already asking, ‘Why are you sitting there? Sit here.'”

The actress emphasized that if her sons were having their meal and the nannies were hungry, they all sat down together to eat. Kareena stated, “This is the rule of the house because they look after my children. They are looking after them when I am working, and they have to get the respect that Saif and I have. We are all together most of the time, and we travel together. They look after my children like their own, and that is something that I cannot… I can’t just oversee that.”

Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan, both well-established figures in the Indian film industry, have been married since 2012 and have been known for their progressive approach to parenting and family life.

On the professional front, Kareena is set to make her OTT debut in “Jaane Jaan,” a Hindi adaptation of the popular Japanese novel “Devotion of Suspect X,” directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The highly anticipated film is scheduled for release on September 21.

In addition to “Jaane Jaan,” Kareena has several exciting projects in the pipeline. One such project features an ensemble cast including Tabu, Kriti Sanon, and Diljit Dosanjh. The film revolves around the lives of three women against the backdrop of the struggling airline industry and promises to be a laugh-riot filled with unexpected twists and turns. Kapil Sharma will also make a special cameo appearance in the movie.

“The Crew,” as the film is titled, is all set to hit theaters on March 22, 2024, and fans are eagerly awaiting Kareena’s return to the big screen in this much-anticipated comedy.
