For the past few days, there have been rumors that Kareena Kapoor Khan will be next seen opposite Yash in his upcoming film ‘Toxic.’ However, her team has issued a statement which reads, ‘There have been many speculations doing the rounds about Kareena Kapoor Khan’s next film. While we understand the excitement and anticipation, we request the media to refrain from premature conjecture about her next project and its star cast. Something very exciting is coming up very soon, and we request everyone to wait for the official announcement soon.’
However, a report from Times Now is claiming that the actress has not signed for the film and was not even considered opposite Yash.
“Anything we say will sound like a putdown, given the situation. But the fact of the matter is, we never even considered her. She is undoubtedly a rare actress. But she doesn’t fit into this project at all,” the source said to Times Now. “Yash and she would hardly look compatible,” the source further added.
When asked to shed light on the casting of Yash’s ‘Toxic,’ the source said, “Only Yash has been finalized so far. We haven’t even started casting for the other characters. Yash first goes into ‘Ramayan’ (starring Ranbir Kapoor) in April. Only then will he start shooting for ‘Toxic,’ not before 2025.”
Not much about ‘Toxic’ has been revealed, but if reports are to be believed, Yash is playing a gangster in the movie set in Goa. The story is centered around the drug mafia.
