Kangana Ranaut Opens Up On Rejecting Films With ‘Khans’ And ‘Kumar’

At a recent promotional event, Kangana Ranaut revealed why she had rejected many films alongside 'Khans' and 'Kumar' of the industry throughout her career. Read to know why!

Kangana Ranaut is recently all occupied with the promotions of her upcoming film ‘Dhaakad’, an action-filled adventure movie alongside Arjun Rampal, Divya Dutta and Sharib Hashmi, Kangana essays the character of an international spy in the film. With the film releasing on the 20th of May, in a recent promotional event of the film, Kangana, known for her bold and controversial remarks, tackled many difficult questions without hesitating a bit.

On being asked, how does the ‘Queen’ actress manage to challenge herself with such versatile characters, right from Dhatto from ‘Tanu Weds Manu 2’ to that of a fierce queen in ‘Manikarnika’, the host asked her what makes her pick such challenging roles. To which Kangana said, ‘I think in so many ways, the world is also ready for women to take the lead, that some aspect of it.”

She continued by saying how as an actress, she has also had her own share of low points, where a lot of ‘male centric’ films in the industry, like that of the Khan-led films or ‘Kumar’ led films were being offered to her, but TSH head to reject them. She recalled how we open from the industry would look at her, and wondered what strong with her. But Kangana shares how she has a ‘vision’ for things and a vision for the future that only she has, and no one else from the industry has.

Kangana further recalled being called for refusing to attend the award function. She revealed how people questioned her for ‘not’ working with big hero films and for ‘not’ attending award functions and even accused her of wasting her life. But Kangana believes that the success of all her films is not ‘accidental’ and that she also ‘deserves as much as anybody else’ and that she isn’t less than any male hero from the industry, and has what takes to run a movie on her own.
