On Wednesday, Kangana Ranaut strongly criticized Twinkle Khanna for her previous remark about men. Twinkle made a comment at an event in December where she humorously discussed her views on feminism and men, even comparing men to plastic bags. Kangana expressed clear disapproval of this comparison.
Taking to her Instagram stories Kangana slammed Twinkle Khanna for her statement calling her a “privileged brat”, she wrote, “What are these privileged brats who call their men polythene bags, are they trying to be cool? Nepo kids born with silver spoon, given film careers on golden platters, couldn’t do justice to that for sure, least they could do find some joy and fulfilment in selflessness of motherhood that also seems like a curse in their case what exactly do they want to be? Vegetables? Is that feminism?”
Reacting to Kangana’s statement on Twinkle Khanna many netizens agreed with the Emergency actress. A reddit user wrote, “Super privileged women talking about women issues is the best thing in the world. Their ignorance n lack of knowledge about the actual world n ground level reality is just amazing.”
Another user slammed Twinkle Khanna for “objectifying men” and wrote, “Sorry! But its pretty disrespectful! Its not witty or funny! Imagine if a male actor jokingly compared a woman with a handbag! Respect is a two way street! She could have conveyed her thoughts properly without objectification!”
Meanwhile, Twinkle Khanna has not responded to the comment yet. For those unaware, Twinkle is the daughter of yesteryear superstar Rajesh Khanna. She ventured into acting, appearing alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Baadshah in 1999 and Aamir Khan in Mela in 2000. Following her marriage to Akshay Kumar, she transitioned to writing after stepping away from acting.
On the other hand, Kangana will star in Emergency, portraying the character of Indira Gandhi. In addition to her leading role, Kangana will also serve as the director for the film.
