Kangana Ranaut Blames Aamir Khan For His Daughter’s Depression?

Aamir Khan's daughter Ira Khan recently confessed that she is suffering from chronic depression. Here's what Kangana Ranaut replied!

On World Mental Health Day, Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan had confessed that she has been suffering from depression for more than four years.

She posted a video on her Instagram handle and began by saying, “Hi, I’m depressed. I have been for more than four years now. I’ve been to a doctor and I’m clinically depressed. I’m doing much better now.”

She further said, “For over a year now, I wanted to do something for mental health, but I wasn’t sure what to do. I have decided to take you on a journey – my journey – and see what happens. Hopefully, we’ll get to know ourselves and understand mental illness slightly better. I’ve thought of so many things to say. What should I say? Why am I doing this?”. Ira concluded saying, “Let’s start from where I started. What do I have to be depressed about? Who am I to be depressed? I have everything, right?”

Actor Kangana Ranaut was quick to react as the news went viral. She wrote in a tweet, “At 16 I was facing physical assault, was single handedly taking care of my sister who was burnt with acid and also facing media wrath, there can be many reasons for depression but it’s generally difficult for broken families children, traditional family system is very important.”

For the unaware, Ira Khan is Aamir’s daughter from his first marriage with Reena Dutta. Aamir and Reena ended their 16 years of marriage in 2002. He soon found love in Kiran Rao. The duo married and moved ahead in their lives. Hinting at Aamir’s failed marriage with Reena, Kangana indirectly blamed him for Ira’s depression.
